Zoooom Launches Car Reports to Disrupt Vehicle History Market
Zoooom introduces a new vehicle report service challenging traditional pricing.
Zoooom has launched a new platform called Zoooom Car Reports, aiming to disrupt the traditional vehicle history report market by providing extensive data at a significantly lower cost. This innovative service combines detailed vehicle history with real-time AI diagnostics, offering a more thorough solution for consumers involved in private-party vehicle sales.
For years, consumers have faced charges of over $40 for vehicle history reports, a price that Zoooom argues is unjustified given that most providers use the same underlying datasets. With its new offering, Zoooom claims to level the playing field by delivering the same volume of historical data while integrating AI assessments to enhance the buying experience.
The service is designed to empower consumers by providing free vehicle history reports for cars registered in a user's Zoooom Digital Garage. Until August 31, 2026, users can also access up to three vehicle reports at no cost. Starting September 1, Zoooom plans to implement a competitive pricing structure that will undercut traditional providers.
Zoooom Car Reports features include an AI Walkaround tool that allows users to conduct a quick visual assessment of a vehicle, identifying cosmetic issues and verifying instrument cluster warnings. Additionally, the platform provides actionable insights, such as overdue services and open recalls, along with localized transaction guidance based on regional laws.
CEO Sheng Wang stated, "Zoooom continues to build unique capabilities that are fundamentally transforming the peer-to-peer car marketplace." The aim is to enhance transparency and reduce the costs associated with acquiring vehicle information, addressing a long-standing issue in the automotive industry.
By launching Zoooom Car Reports, the company positions itself as a formidable player in automotive technology, committed to democratizing access to vehicle data. This initiative not only supports buyers but also seeks to eliminate the middleman costs that have historically burdened consumers.
