Zip Security Joins CrowdStrike's Project QuiltWorks

Zip Security has joined CrowdStrike's Project QuiltWorks to enhance cybersecurity for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) facing threats from advanced AI technologies. This partnership aims to provide accessible security solutions for organizations lacking dedicated security teams or resources.

With the rise of frontier AI, SMBs are increasingly exposed to sophisticated cyber threats, often without the same level of protection that larger enterprises have. Zip Security’s managed security platform is designed specifically for these businesses, offering a thorough framework that includes 24/7 protection, expert support, and compliance management.

The collaboration will use CrowdStrike's AI-driven vulnerability discovery and prioritization capabilities, combined with Zip's operational security expertise. This integration allows Zip to deploy necessary tools and policies while managing security effectively for businesses that may not have a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or dedicated personnel.

Project QuiltWorks, originally focused on larger enterprises, was expanded by CrowdStrike in August 2026 to include SMBs globally. The initiative combines various resources, including financial protection from cyber insurers and support from managed service providers (MSPs), to provide a cohesive defense against emerging threats.

The integration of frontier AI models from leading organizations like OpenAI and Anthropic enhances the initiative’s ability to discover vulnerabilities that traditional methods might miss. As a result, Zip Security customers will benefit from a more proactive approach to cybersecurity, allowing them to address vulnerabilities based on real-world risk assessments.

This collaboration highlights the growing recognition of the unique challenges faced by SMBs in the cybersecurity landscape.
