OlloBot to Launch OlloNi SS1 on Kickstarter Before IFA Berlin
OlloBot announces Kickstarter campaign for new family companion robot.
OlloBot plans to launch its latest family companion robot, the OlloNi SS1, via a Kickstarter campaign set for late August, ahead of its debut at IFA Berlin in September.
The OlloNi SS1 is designed to engage with users through emotional recognition and interaction. Using the EmpathCore emotional system and the Affinilog emotional recording engine, the robot learns about its users' habits and emotional states over time. It features a removable 'Memory Heart' module that allows users to store shared emotional moments, ensuring these memories are preserved even if they switch devices.
In addition to its emotional learning capabilities, the OlloNi SS1 reacts to touch, sounds, and facial expressions, creating a more immersive companionship experience. The robot also includes an automatic capture feature that records family moments, with user consent, to help document precious experiences.
Lyn Fang, founder of OlloBot, stated, "We wanted the OlloNi SS1 to be a companion ready to take the time to really understand you." This focus on emotional engagement is central to the product's design.
The IFA booth will emphasize the theme of “Touch. Feel. Connect.”, showing interactive experiences where visitors can engage with the robot. Rather than simply presenting its latest collection, OlloBot intends to create a space for visitors to connect with the technology.
Following the Kickstarter campaign, OlloBot will host an in-person event at the Tech Week in San Francisco in October, marking another step in its strategy to penetrate North American and European markets. This initiative reflects OlloBot's commitment to fostering genuine relationships through technology.
